  My daughter raced in to what was one of her favourite shops in Shepp whilst we were in town for Tafe- came from Mansfield. She has only 1/2 hour for lunch so purchased a $99 dress & carefully tucked receipt in a pocket in her purse! We are after all constantly reminded to shop in stores - not online - we may actually get some good service and a smiling shop assistant - rather than slamming away on a keyboard..After trying the dress only it simply wasn't suitable so her and her twin sister visited the store today with the dress and receipt and asked for either money back , store credit etc. The very rude assistant told the girls they needed to exchange on the day of purchase and that even though they had a receipt - tags still on dress etc nothing could be done to help! I will be looking at returns / complaints procedures in retail stores with ombudsman to see if this information is correct / legal. Even if it is this is a display of extremely poor customer service and a very large business mistake - my girls were willing to pay large prices for "brand items" in this store but would never enter the doors again due to awful treatment - bad move guys - get your act together - appears this may be common!!!!

  Bought a watch for my daughter from shepparton store with a flat battery but the owner assured me he would replace it free of charge. I bought it and gifted it knowing I could bring it back in to get the battery replaced after as I didn't have time to get it done before I gifted it as it was her birthday the next day and apparently had to be sent away to be done. I was happy with that bought it and walked out. I've shopped here a lot as I have 4 kids. Went back in two weeks later which is as soon as I could get there and the owner was there so I thought perfect he'll remember as I shop here and he served me and assured me it'd be replaced. So I ask if he can replace the battery as promised, he replies with have you got the receipt, I had forgotten it. I said sorry I've forgotten it but surely you remember as you served me and assured me it'd be replaced. No sorry where's your receipt. I couldn't believe it that someone can be so arrogant that they don't recognize a regular customer and recognize their own watch they sold and also be rude as hell about it. Walked out after telling him I'll never shop here again with 4 kids in tow. Walked across the mall to a jewler and they did it on the spot.
